Cruise Description
8 days | Rome • Sardinia • Elba • Livorno • La Spezia • Genoa • Villefranche • Marseille
This cruise with the VASCO DA GAMA takes you to two of the most beautiful islands of Italy and along the Mediterranean coast. During that you will steer towards several highlights of the country. Sardinia with its dream beaches will inspire you as well as Elba with its wonderful capital Portoferraio. Historic metropolises are on the program. The influential families of the Renaissance city of Florence, the Tuscan city of Pisa and the fashionable city of Milan have shaped the cityscape for centuries and built impressive palaces and churches. You will be able to marvel at many of them, which are now UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Things are much more tranquil in the Cinque Terre National Park. The same cannot be said of the French Riviera. But it entices with Nice and a trip to Provence!
Highlights:
- Stroll through small, winding streets on Sardinia and Elba or stroll over the most impressive squares the country has to offer: This cruise combines several of the most beautiful places in Italy.
- The Leaning Tower of Pisa or the magnificent buildings in Florence unfold a magic that you will find hard to resist.
- Lucca, with its intact city walls and historic center, is definitely worth a visit. From La Spezia it is not far here.
- Genoa has always been an important port for Italy. But the city has more to offer, including a boulevard that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
