As well as having the chance to hike to the Briksdal Glacier with a local graduate in geomorphology, you can take to the serene waters for fishing or kayaking – all of which are great ways to experience friluftsliv, the Norwegian concept of connecting with nature and embracing the outdoors. Riding on the world-renowned Flåm Railway is a great way to experience one of the many methods of travelling around the challenging fjordland landscapes.
