Cruise Description

This sailing showcases Portugal's maritime history, diverse landscapes, floral gardens, and marine life. Wildlife charity ORCA will have conservationists on board to help you spot sperm whales and other migrating cetaceans in the Azores; along with astronomers from Go Stargazing who will hold informal star and planet spotting sessions out on the decks of Borealis. The remote archipelago is also home to volcanic vistas, lush vegetation and colourful crater lakes, which you can explore while ashore on the islands of Terceira and São Miguel. Elsewhere, there will be chances to wander Madeira’s botanical gardens and levada walking trails, and in Oporto, from Leixões, explore the historic Ribeira District, where narrow, cobbled lanes wind their way down to the Douro River.
