Cruise Description

This cruise, in partnership with the Maud Fontenoy Foundation, will cultivate the art of peaceful travel as well as a family spirit, thanks to its customised activities on board and on shore for youngsters*, with the Kid Explorers Club.

From the splendid Maltese capital to the pearl of the French Riviera, set sail on a brand-new 11-day cruise in the Mediterranean Sea. Aboard Le Bougainville, discover the Isle of Beauty, the Italian shores and Malta during an unforgettable trip.

From Valletta, head for Gozo, an unspoiled island that is home to a megalithic site listed with UNESCO. Explore the island, famous for its wines, and its spectacular scenery, from the endless turquoise sea to the dreamlike decor of the salt marshes.

Next, Southern Italy promises suspended moments where the beauty of the shores combines with the beauty of its historical remnants, which remain fascinating. In Syracuse, the Sicilian soul unfolds across the island of Ortygia - the oldest part of the city -, a maze of small streets dotted with churches, palaces, ancient remnants, sheltering a majestic cathedral in its very heart.

Then, sail in front of Stromboli, an active volcano whose crater regularly erupts with lava flows.

Later, your ship stops at Porto Ercole, a charming Tuscan village with colourful houses, on the Monte Argentario peninsula. Here, you have the possibility to meet fishermen from the Orbetello Lagoon as well as local producers. The peninsula’s rolling and lush landscapes also provides you with opportunities for magnificent outings.

After a port of call on the Tuscan Island of Giglio, visit Portofino. Built in a natural harbour protected by a pine forest, it is a picturesque and lively port that has successfully retained its authenticity and traditions.

Portoferraio, a small corner of paradise on the island of Elba, where Napoleon spent many days in exile is your next port of call.

Next, the Cap Corse peninsula reveals itself a little further south. At the foot of the mountains and the Agriates desert, the beauty of the landscapes gives Saint-Florent a picture-postcard appearance. You finally set sail for Calvi in the heart of the Balagne region. Between steep peaks and sublime beaches with turquoise waters, experience a wild and authentic Corsica.

Your cruise ends in Nice, capital of the French Riviera.
