  1. Port Overview

  1. Misty Fjords, Alaska

  2. Misty Fjords National Monument was created on December 1, 1978, and is located in Tongass National Forest in the Panhandle of southeast Alaska. The area is famous for its long, deep fiords with granite sea cliffs rising for thousands of feet, its waterfalls and natural canals. The most famous—and therefore most popular—places within Misty Fjords National Monument are Rudyerd Bay and Walker Cove.

Marine and wild life in the area include ducks, brown and black bear, Sitka deer, mink, river otters, and in a few places, moose. Humpbacks and orcas, porpoise, sea lions, and seals ply the waters of Behm Canal and the inlets.
