Caldas de Aregos, Portugal

Caldas de Aregos is situated on left bank of the Duoro River, approximately 5.5km west of Resende, Portugal. It is best known as a spa town with waters that are sulphurous, fluorinated, hypothermal and hyposaline with a pH level of 9.1 and temperature of 63ºC.

The spa is in an area of great beauty and there are splendid views from the São João rock, on Aregos hill in the Douro valley. Leisure activities include fishing, sailing and windsurfing.
