    Visitors to the FloraHolland flower auction complex can see the auction rooms and gallery. The auction building is the third largest building in the world, in terms of floorspace. Flowers from all over the world are traded here.

Direct trains connect Amsterdam to Paris, to major Belgian cities like Brussels and Antwerp, and to German cities like Cologne, Frankfurt or Berlin. Ferries run from Amsterdam to Britian and Norway. Buses are the most economical way to travel to and from Amsterdam.

    There are numerous bus services connecting Aalsmeer to Amsterdam. The bus interchange in Aalsmeer is called the Hortensiaplein.
