  3. Chiciu is located south of Calarasi, Bulgaria. It offers facilities for travelers consisting of a small restaurant with hotel and docking facilities for ferry transfer to the other side of the Danube. From here travelers are within easy reach of the Bulgarian town of Silistra.

    Silistra is a major cultural, industrial, transportation and educational center of north-eastern Bulgaria. There are many historical landmarks including a Roman tomb, remains of the Medieval fortress, an Ottoman fort, and an art gallery.
