  1. Port Overview

  1. Szczecin, Poland

  2. Szczecin is the capital city of West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. It is the country's seventh-largest city and the largest seaport in Poland on the Baltic Sea. Szczecin is located on the Oder River, south of the Lagoon of Szczecin and the Bay of Pomerania.

Szczecin is a lively city, an important seaport and a shipbuilding centre close to the border with Germany. Although the mediaeval centre of Szczecin was severely destroyed during wartime, there are still some remaining magnificent monuments of architecture.

While Szczecin attracts mostly business travellers, it also offers several enchanting sights, many parks, and an impressive number of bars.

Travel Links – Szczecin has good railway connections with the rest of Poland, but it is connected by only two single track, non-electrified lines with Germany to the west. Because of this, the rail connection between Berlin and Szczecin is much slower and less convenient than one would expect between two European cities of that size and proximity.

Szczecin is served by Szczecin-Goleniow "Solidarnosc" Airport which is 45 km northeast of the city.

Many international and domestic connections.PKS Szczecin operates daily connection with Schwedt in Germany and there are dozens of minibus operators driving to and from Berlin.
