  1. Port Overview

  1. Usti, Czech Republic

  2. Usti is a city of the Czech Republic, in the Ústí nad Labem Region. The city is the 7th-most populous in the country. Ústí is situated in a mountainous district at the confluence of the Bílina and the Elbe (Labe) Rivers, and, besides being an active river port, is an important railway junction. Ústí is a center for tourism owing to the romantic landscape of the Bohemian Highlands (České středohoří) and the České Švýcarsko national park

A major attraction in Usti is the Střekov castle ruins located in a southern suburb of the city. The ruins are placed on 100 m high clinkstone rock. The castle was founded in 1318 to protect the local trade route. An exhibition of the history of the castle and the region can be visited in the castle palace. Visitors of the restaurant terrace have an exquisite view of the city and of the Elbe valley. The Chateau of Vetruse is also an umissable and dominant feature of the twon.
