  2. Mildura is a regional city in northwestern Victoria, Australia and seat of the Rural City of Mildura local government area. It is located in the Sunraysia region, and is on the banks of the Murray River.

    Mildura is known for its warm climate, wineries, markets, eateries and of course the Murray River. Visitors can discover the history of Mildura at museums, board a paddleboat on the Murray or Darling rivers, follow the Chaffey trail to significant sites and discover the stories of local characters.

    The Murray region is also home to unique desert, river, and wetland landscapes. Visitors can explore ancient dunes, sandhills and cliffs, discover unique flora and fauna, and historic sites in national parks and protected areas.

    Travel Links – Mildura airport is one of the largest in regional Australia. The airport services regular flights from Melbourne.

    The Mildura train station is on the corner of Langtree Avenue and 7th St. Currently, no passenger trains arrive or depart from Mildura. However, passenger lines are scheduled to reopen, but a set date has not been decided yet after delays on reopening other railway lines in Victoria.

    The bus station is located next to the train station. Buses to Melbourne depart daily and run direct or to Swan Hill or Bendigo to connect with train services. Mildura is on the daily bus route from Adelaide to Sydney (via Canberra). Local buses connect Mildura with surrounding smaller towns.
