Puerto Madryn, Argentina

Puerto Madryn is located to the northeast of the Chabut province, Argentina. It is situated on the shores of the Nuevo gulf and to the south of the Peninsula Valdes. It is a popular summer destination which offers a beautiful coastal avenue, calm beaches of transparent water, and spectacular views of the cliffs on the sea.

The Southern Right Whale is a popular attraction with excursions available from Puerto Madryn to Valdes Peninsula. The Punta Tombo penguin colony located 170 kilometers to the south of Puerto Madryn, is also worth a visit.

Port Location – The port of Puerto Madryn is located approximately 3.5km’s from the town centre.

Transport Links – Puerto Madryns Airport is located 10 minutes from downtown. Currently there are three flights per week from Buenos Aires on Andes Airlines. Aerolineas Argentinas flies to Trelew, which is an hour from Puerto Madryn. Shuttle buses operate from the airport in Trelew to Puerto Madryn.

There are long distance bus connections to Buenos Aires, Mar del Plata, Rio Gallegos and other destinations.
