  1. Port Overview

  1. Horse Heaven Hills & Red Mt, Washington, USA

  2. The Horse Heaven Hills are a long range of high, rolling hills in Klickitat, Yakima, and Benton counties in Washington State located east of Satus Creek and west of the Columbia River between the Yakima River and the Wallula Gap.

Horse Heavens Hills AVA is home to the single largest wine making facility in Washington, the Columbia Crest Winery owned by Chateau Ste. Michelle in Paterson. Alexandria Nicole Cellars has a large vineyard at Destiny Ridge. The Mercer and Hogue Families have come together to create Mercer Estates which also occupies the region.

The Red Mountain Viticultural Area is one of Washington's most well-defined and distinctive viticultural areas where good air, drainage and light soils encourage the vines to seek nutrients via deep roots.
