The historical walled town of Pembroke is located in Pembrokeshire, Wales. It dates back more than 900 years and is famous for its Norman Castle and for being the birth place of Henry VII. Each year many important historical events are held including Shakespearean productions, medieval banquets, military tattoos and displays by the Sealed Knot Society.
The streets still follow the original medieval layout and visitors and there is a predominance of stone Georgian buildings. A mill pond runs parallel to the main street and is a peaceful spot to watch the swans, herons, ducks and otter.
The town of Pembroke is perhaps best known for the Pembrokeshire National Park, Britain’s only truly coastal national park, stretching across 225 miles of southwest Wales. It’s a spectacular landscape of rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, wooded estuaries and wild inland hills, as well as a sanctuary for wildlife of all varieties. Popular attractions in the park include Carew Castle, Tidal Mill and the Coast Path (National Trail).

Port Location – The ferry port of Pembroke Dock is a separate town, which was established in 1814, it lies three miles to the north of Pembroke.
Transport Links - Pembroke railway station on Station Road is situated near the town centre. There are connecting services on their way to the rest of Wales: Carmarthen, Milford Haven and Haverfordwest. There is a frequent National Express coach service operating various coaches to Pembroke from around the UK.
Pembroke ferry port is located on the South Western tip of Wales & offers close access to the M4 motorway. The sole operator on the Pembroke route - Irish Ferries operate a twice daily service from Pembroke to Rosslare.
