  2. The Olympic Peninsula is the large arm of land in western Washington state of the USA, that lies across Puget Sound from Seattle. Port Angeles, situated on the northern edge of the Peninsula is the largest city in the Olympic Peninsula and a perfect jumping off point for visiting the region.

    The Olympic Peninsula is home to temperate rain forest and contains many state and national parks. There are some major salmon-bearing rivers and numerous natural lakes. The Olympic mountain range sits in the center of the Olympic Peninsula. This range is the second largest in Washington State. Its highest peak is Mt. Olympus.

    Port Angeles Boat Haven is nestled in the nook of Ediz Hook and is a direct route from Victoria (British Columbia). It is a perfect stop over for boaters plying the waters of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Puget Sound.
