  2. Cincinnati is the third largest city in the US state of Ohio. It is located north of the Ohio River at the Ohio-Kentucky border. The city has a charming riverboat heritage and was one of the United States' early boomtowns. The Over-the-Rhine neighborhood is the largest National Historic District in the country. Today, it's part of a fast-growing metro area, and home to a remarkable blend of industry and architecture.

    The city center is "Downtown" Cincinnati, sometimes referred to as the "Central Business District." It is focused around Fountain Square, a popular public square, with many major attractions nearby and corporate headquarters located here. Downtown Cincinnati is surrounded by picturesque foothills that add a beautiful backdrop to the Queen City and its legendary skyline.

    Cincinnati is home to numerous structures that are noteworthy due to their architectural characteristics or historic associations including the Carew Tower, the Scripps Center, the Ingalls Building, Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal, and the Isaac M. Wise Temple.[
