  1. Port Overview

  1. Gallipoli, Turkey

  2. Gallipoli is located in Turkish Thrace, the European part of Turkey, with the Aegean Sea to the west and the Dardanelles straits to the east. The name derives from the Greek Kallipolis (Καλλίπολις), meaning "Beautiful City".

The Gallipoli Peninsula is the site of extensive First World War battlefields and memorials on the north bank of the Dardanelles. A commemorative site for the Allied (British Empire, France) and Turkish forces that fought, died and were wounded there, the area around Anzac Cove is particularly significant for Australians and New Zealanders.

Other activities available in the area include sports facilities, camping, nature-trekking, botanical gardens, sea tours, fishing, diving and undersea photography.
