Queenstown is a resort town in the south west of New Zealand’s south island. It is a popular destination for snow sports and adventure tourism, set on the shores of picturesque Lake Wakatipu. As well as outdoor pursuits, Queenstown offers a vibrant nightlife and excellent dining in its compact downtown area.

Local attractions include the Skyline Gondala, cruising Lake Wakatipu, adventure activities and of course snow sports in the winter months. Other popular activities include trout and salmon fishing, hiking, wine or arts trail and day trips to the goldmining town, Arrowtown.

Port Location – The port is located in the downtown area of Queenstown, on the shores of Lake Wakatipu.

Transport Links – The airport is serviced by regular domestic services from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Air New Zealand and Qantas also operate regular international services from Melbourne and Sydney, the frequency being much increased over the ski season. Queenstown airport is New Zealand's busiest helicopter base, and is also heavily utilised for tourist 'flightseeing', especially to Milford Sound and Mount Cook, using both fixed and rotary wing aircraft.

InterCity Coachlines and Newmans Coachlines have a nation-wide network that includes a scheduled service to Queenstown.Other local companies operate services to and from this region.
