Romsdalsfjord is the ninth longest fjord in Norway. It is 88 km long and located in Romsdal in Møre og Romsdal. The district of Romsdal comprises Aukra, Fræna, Gjemnes, Midsund, Molde, Nesset, Rauma, Sandøy, and Vestnes.The major city of Romsdal is Molde.
Romsdalsfjord is 88 km long with a maximum depth of 800 m and 68 different types of fish registered. The main part reaches from south of the Island Sekken of Molde county all the way to Åndalsnes in Rauma county. The other part - Langfjorden - reaches up to Eidsvåg in Nesset county.
