Isla Contadora is a Panamanian island on the Pearl Islands archipielago in the Gulf of Panama. A popular tourist destination, it is the fifth largest of the Pearl Islands, which lie about 50 miles off the Pacific Coast of Panama, in the Gulf of Panama.
Contadora is a resort island, with many homes owned by wealthy Panamanians. There is a large hotel and other cabins available. The island features restaurants, a dive shop and water activities such as diving, snorkeling and sports fishing. There are 13 beautiful beaches which encircle the island, or visitors can take excursions to nearby islands, most of which are uninhabited. Just across the way is Pacheca Island, roosting spot for magnificent frigate birds and an excellent spot for bird watching.
