Vladivostok is Russia's largest port city on the Pacific Ocean and the administrative center of Primorsky Krai. It is situated at the head of the Golden Horn Bay not far from Russia's border with China and North Korea. It is the home port of the Russian Pacific Fleet.

Visitors to Vladivostok will enjoy a walk along the waterfront. Other attractions include the Mermaid statue in Sporty Bay, the Amur Tiger statue and the 19th century wooden houses along Arsenyev Street. At the top of the stairs next to the cable car is a stunning look-out where you can see the entire Golden Horn Bay.

Several forts were built in the city during its history. Vladivostokskaya Krepost is located just behind the oceanarium, and has many displays and exhibits. There is also the amazing Dolphinarium nearby. In the Arsenyev Regional Museum you will discover an array of information and relics from local history

Port Location – The port of Vladivostok is situated on the north-west of Golden Horn Bay. It is located in Strelnikova street, Vladivostok.

Travel Links – The Trans-Siberian Railway runs between Vladivostok and Moscow, with stops in major Russian cities like Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, and Ekaterinberg.

Mixed-use ferries run the route between Japan and Vladivostok, carrying passengers and major commercial goods. There is also a service connecting Vladivostok and Sokcho, South Korea.

Vladivostok International Airport is located near Artyom, some 44 km off the city center, has two airfields with four paved runways, and is able to receive all types of aircraft.

There are a number of local bus routes from most suburban locations and nearby towns as well. Most places around the region are linked to Vladivostok by bus. There are also several international routes, linking Vladivostok to cities in northeastern China such as Harbin, Mudanjiang and Suifenhe. It takes about five hours to get to the city from the Chinese border, and the road goes through one of the most picturesque areas of the Russian Far East.
