Oriental is located in Pamlico County, North Carolina. It is a tranquil waterfront village along the Neuse River and Intracoastal Waterway. It is best known as the sailing capital of North Carolina, and fishing is an important industry in the town.

Port Location – The Oriental Harbor Marina is located at the end of Broad St. (NC Hwy 55) which runs through the town to the Marina.

Transport Links - The nearest airport is Coastal Carolina Regional Airport (Airport Code - EWN) in New Bern, N.C. which offers both US Airways and Delta which have daily flights from Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC and Pittsburgh, PA. Other major airports are located in Jacksonville (NC) and Raleigh.
