La Pallice is located 10 km’s from the medieval city of La Rochelle, France. La Pallice was once a big commercial port, however it now serves as a French Atlantic cruise port. La Rochelle is considered to be the most attractive and unspoilt seaside town in France.
The two impressive towers guarding the entrance to the port, called the Vieux Port, are the centerpiece of La Rochelle. Behind the three 14th-century stone towers is the medieval core of the city lined with shops and seafood restaurants.
La Rochelle features a modern Aquarium and a floating Maritime Museum. Boating trips to Fort Boyard or Ile de Ré are very popular.
