Winona is a city in and the county seat of Winona County, in the U.S. State of Minnesota. It is situated on an island among picturesque bluff country on the Mississippi River, its most noticeable physical landmark is Sugar Loaf. Winona is located about 110 miles southeast of Twin Cities and is central to five state parks.
Winona has a variety of festivals throughout the summer months. Among them is ‘Steamboat Days’ , which occurs in mid-June and includes a carninval, a grand parade and fireworks.
