The city of Astoria is the county seat of Clatsop County, Oregon, United States. Located on the south shore of the Columbia River a few miles from the Pacific Ocean, the city is served by the Port of Astoria with a deep water port.

The Amtrak Motorcoach leaves Portland, Oregon daily at 6:20 PM from the Portland Union Station. The coach takes highway 26 west, with flag stops along the route, stopping in Warrenton and arriving at the Astoria Welcome Center.
