Stralsund is a city in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany, situated at the southern coast of the Strelasund sound. Two bridges and several ferry services connect Stralsund with the ports of Rügen.
Stralsund is a well-preserved medieval city with bumpy paved paths, narrow alleys and historical buildings. The old city center is located on a small island, almost entirely surrounded by water.
A visit to Stralsund would not be complete without a trip to the harbour - old brick warehouses, the waterside bars and restaurants and even a theatre which gives performances in the summer
