Doha is the capital and largest city of the state of Qatar. It is a modern city set to become one of the premier cities in the Gulf, however it has nothing of the hustle and bustle of a mega metropolis. There are some wonderful sights and experiences you won't want to miss.
There are many museums to visit, however the Museum of Islamic Arts is the only one currently open. The museum houses artefacts from Muslim dynasties all over Asia, Africa and Europe. The Souq Waqif is another place that is very worth going is Souq Waqif, the renovated Arabic market quarter. You can easily wander around the maze-like corridors for hours.
