Porto Santo is located in the Portuguese archipelago of Madeira in the North Atlantic Ocean. The island lies 37 km to the Northeast of Madeira, the only other inhabited island in the region. A 9km stretch of natural sandy beach is the main attraction, but the sleepy village and tranquil lifestyle is also the reason why visitors who discover Porto Santo keep coming back.
The water is here is crystal clear, and the island’s natural marine landscape and wildlife remain untouched. As such water sports are popular, including diving, swimming, sailing, jet ski, canoeing, water-ski, and fishing. Walking tours through the hills and through the rough landscape are also popular with visitors.
