Tsavo is a region of Kenya located at the crossing of the Uganda Railway over the Tsavo River, close to where it meets the Athi River. Two national parks, Tsavo East National Park and Tsavo West National Park are nearby.
The area is best known for its broad red plains, where endless acacia scrub and occasional waterholes provide sustenance to a population of elephants. Other wildlife which can be seen include lions, rhino, hippos, cheetahs etc.
