Pretoria is a city located in the northern part of Gauteng Province, South Africa. It is one of the country's three capital cities. It is located approximately 50 km north of Johannesburg.
The city of Pretoria has many attractions including the State Theatre, a host of shopping malls, rooftop drive-in, ice skating, and many historic buildings, monuments and museums. In the center of town is the Pretoria City Hall and the Transvaal Museum across the road. Church Square is home to the statue of Paul Kruger, former State President of the South African Republic.
The National Zoological Gardens is the largest zoo in South Africa and the only one which has a national status and one of the top rated zoos in the world. The Transvaal Museum near Church Square is also worth a visit.

Transport Links - For scheduled air services, Pretoria is served by Johannesburg's airports: OR Tambo International, 45 kilometres (28 mi) south of central Pretoria; and Lanseria, 35 kilometres (22 mi) south-west of the city.
The train station is on the corner of Andries and Railway streets, just south of the city centre. There are frequent commuter trains to Johannesburg, other outlying towns and many suburbs of Pretoria.
Major bus companies like Greyhound, Translux, Intercape Mainliner and the BazBus offer connections to all big cities in South Africa.
