Helgoland is a small German island located in the North Sea approximately three hours sailing time from Cuxhaven at the mouth of the River Elbe. Helgoland consists of two islands, the main island to the west and the smaller island Dune, to the east.
Helgoland is a holiday resort which is favoured for its mild climate, clean sandy beaches and unique flora and fauna. Nearby Dune is also very attractive and seals can often be found lazing on the sand.
