Lysekil is a town in Bohuslän on the Swedish west coast and the seat of Lysekil Municipality, Västra Götaland County. Lysekil Municipality comprises a mainland component including Stångenäset, Härnäset and a world of islands including Skaftö, Gåsö and the Kornö islands. Stånge-näset and Härnäset are bound by three deep, slender fjords: Gullmarsfjorden, Brofjorden and Åbyfjorden. Lysekils is situated on the very outskirts of the archipelago.
Havets hus sea aquarium is a major attraction in Lysekil. It shows the flora and the fauna of the Western sea. It features a tunnel aquarium containing 140.000 litres of water and multi media equipment. Other popular activities include diving, fishing and seal safaris.
