The Pearl Islands (or Islas de las Perlas) are a group of 100 or more islands (many tiny and uninhabited) lying about 30 miles off the Pacific coast of Panama in the Gulf of Panama. The most notable island is Contadora island, known for its resorts. The largest island is Isla del Rey.
The major attraction of the Pearl Islands are is its crystal clear aqua waters, lush vegetation, abundant marine life and beautiful beaches. The area offers an excellent environment for fishing, snorkeling and scuba diving.
