Cap de Creus is located within the Port de la Selva region, at the east most point in Catalonia, Spain. The Cap de Creus lies by the sea as well as on land, and was declared a nature reserve in May 1998. The area is well known for its variety of sea birds.
El Port de la Selva is outstanding for its varied landscapes, its beaches and its mountains. It has retained the charm of a small fishing village, with a great many monuments and archaeological remains. The village has some of Catalonia's best beaches.
