Walt Disney World (Resort)

Walt Disney World Resort is the most visited and largest recreational resort in the world, containing four theme parks; two water parks; twenty-three themed hotels; and numerous shopping, dining, entertainment and recreation venues. It is located within the Orlando city limits, but is in its own cities: Lake Buena Vista, and Bay Lake, just south of the city within southwestern Orange County, with the remainder in adjacent Osceola County.

The centerpieces of Walt Disney World are the four theme parks: The Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. Walt Disney World also has the world's two most popular water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, both heavily themed. Two shopping and entertainment districts, Downtown Disney and Disney's Boardwalk, provide extensive shopping, dining, and entertainment options.

Port Location – The Disney Cruise Line terminal is located at Port Canaveral.

Transport Links – Most visitors fly into Orlando International Airport. It is served by nearly all major US airlines and a wide range of international carriers. Orlando-Sanford International Airport, which is farther away from Walt Disney World than is Orlando International, serves several flights from the United Kingdom, including those from Belfast in Northern Ireland.

Greyhound serves both Orlando and Kissimmee, with the latter being closer to Walt Disney World. LYNX Public transportation by the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority. Nine LYNX routes provide service between Walt Disney World and the surrounding area.
